Should this site ban job postings for companies with low CEI Scores?
Since this site launched in late 2008, all companies, regardless of their Human Rights Campaign Corporate Equality Index Score, have been allowed to recruit here. Our thinking was that with jobs so scarce, some users are willing to accept jobs wherever they find one, regardless of CEI score. Our stance was that users should be free to do their own research and make their own decisions on this matter.
Recently, a frequent visitor offered the opinion that if a company scores poorly, they should not be allowed to recruit on this site. The example given was Jones Apparel Group (Bandolino, Anne Klein, Easy Spirit, Jones New York, Nine West, Rachel Roy, Papagallo and more) with a 45 CEI score, usually posts hundreds of job openings per month here.
What do you think? Should we post all jobs and let our users do their own research here and elsewhere or should we refuse to accept job postings from company's who score below a certain number? What about companies who aren't large enough to qualify to be scored on the CEI?
