Check LGBT-Friendly Employers at HRC's Corporate Equality Index New 2010 !
Overview:
While most companies posting jobs to this site score well on the Human Right's Campagn's (HRC's) Corporate Equality Index (CEI), some companies score in the lower ranges. All job hunters should always find out all they can about a company before they interview.

Description:
Since 2009, the policy at Out & Equal's LGBTCareerlink has been to accept 3 types of job postings:
- Founding Sponsor Companies always have the highest, if not perfect, HRC scores. These companies have paid a flat rate donation that entitles them to display their recruiting materials on the site along with the right to recruit from the site and post jobs to the site.
- Other companies purchase smaller job posting packs to post specific jobs.
- The third and final way a company's job could end up posted here is when they have purchased a "diversity package" from a third-party recruiting company, who then posts jobs on behalf of their client. Since this site is federally certified as a diversity recruiting site, at any given time there are a few companies posting jobs here who actually score poorly on the index. These are generally companies who hold contracts with the federal government which requires them to ensure that they are recruiting and employee diversity candidates.
Since jobs have been so scarce in years 2008 and 2009, we felt it was important to offer as many jobs here as possible, regardless of whether the company had a good CEI score. If you as a user feel it's time to change this policy, please provide feedback by emailing directly to jobs@lgbtcareerlink.com.
