Creating Futures

Creating FuturesThe CompTIA Educational Foundation provides people with the funding and the training to enter the information technology industry. We fund training and scholarships for students, transitioning U.S. veterans, individuals with disabilities, at-risk youth, women, minorities and dislocated workers.

More than 1,000 underprivileged and underrepresented individuals are now working as valuable contributors to the IT industry, thanks to the support of the CompTIA Educational Foundation.

We differ from other programs because we work with employers to find needs, and then train individuals to fit those needs. In this way, individuals can overcome barriers to employment, and employers can build a qualified and diverse workforce.

Our approach consists of determining employers' needs and emerging IT trends; identifying candidates within underrepresented populations; preparing candidates through training, certification and work experience; and helping to place candidates into long-term IT jobs. Our program development is anchored by research, model programs and a commitment to diversity within the IT industry.
