Transgender Economic Empowerment Initiative is an innovative program to help transgender and gender-nonconforming job seekers find and keep good jobs in trans-friendly workplaces in the San Francisco Bay Area.

We also work with employers looking to hire from the community to help them establish fully inclusive workplaces and to connect them with qualified transgender candidates.

Everyone wants to use their talents, live up to their full potential, and give back to the community. The transgender community is no exception. That’s why we created TEEI, the first program in the country designed to help transgender individuals find – and keep – good jobs in safe workplaces.

Whether you are thinking about transitioning or have been out for decades, whether you are looking to advance your career or have been out of work for a while, TEEI can help you.

Our clients have access to:

· One-on-one job counseling with a vocational specialist in the trans community.

· The full range of our employment resources, including help with your resume, cover letters, networking skills, computer training, and interviewing skills.

· Mentorship from a successful transgender professional (or ally) who can offer both personal support and career networking opportunities.

· Our growing network of local trans-friendly employers looking to hire from the community.

· Admission to the annual Transgender Job Fair attended by dozens of local employers.

· Legal advice on identity documentation and your rights in the workplace.
