Relocated by Mercer in August 2010 from New York City to Hong Kong, I work with health and risk employee benefit programs (medical, dental, life and disability) as an outside advisor/ consultant. I was responsible for managing local and regional client engagements across the Asia Pacific region with multinational corporations (MNCs), advising in the areas of health care strategy, plan optimisation, cost containment and flexible benefits at Mercer. While I enjoyed the opportunity to work with such talented people at Mercer, I wanted to explore other opportunities. The timing is good because the assignment with Mercer ended on 30 December 2011 (16 months total). I declined their offer to return to a position in the States because I want to stay in HK.
My Interests
The ideal job will be working “in-house” as a benefits leader here in Hong Kong that has responsibilities to execute diversity and inclusion strategies. My leadership work with one of Mercer's global employee networks (which I founded) has enabled Mercer's Executive Committee to achieve certain diversity and inclusion goals, and provides me with experience in helping organisations achieve diversity and inclusion goals.
